The most exhaustive coverage of the debates can be found at Prestopundit, where you'll find more links that you'll probably have time to follow. Hugh Hewitt has cogent thoughts here and here. Hugh's best line:
"Even Bob Schieffer understands that Mass-attending Catholics have abandoned Kerry in huge numbers. The president's rallies are huge and wildly spirited events. What does Kerry have to counter with? Aging rockers, Michael Moore groupies, and Model U.N. alumni."
See also the Big Trunk's comments at Power Line as well as Hindrocket's. The latter updated his post with this:
"One more thing--on the way out, a guy from the Bush campaign stopped us and said, 'Bob Schieffer was fair tonight--that was you guys' doing. Because you exposed Dan Rather, he had to come across as fair.' Is that right? Beats me. But if we played a small part in leveling the playing field, great."
The key is to compare MSM's performance today with their actions in years past. That's too much to bite off here, but at least we can watch them, call them out, and make them more irrelevant even if we can't force them to change their stripes.
