Bush Speech Paying Dividends

It looks like President Bush's decision to defend the slanderous accusations that he lied us into war are paying off. Sen. John McCain echoed Bush's sentiments yesterday:

Sen. John McCain said Sunday that Iraq war critics who insist on claiming that President Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction are themselves liars.

"I think it's a very legitimate aspect of American life to criticize and to disagree and to debate," McCain told CBS's "Face the Nation." "But I want to say I think it's a lie to say that the president lied to the American people."

Good leaders encourage others to follow. Here's to hoping more Republicans are inspired to join McCain in finally putting an end to such irresponsible behavior on the part of many of Bush's critics.

UPDATE (3:07): Christopher Hitchens says liberal Dems have to be pretty dumb and gullible to believe the pedantry now being masqueraded as intelligent thought.
